Are you ready to make waves? We are! Waves are why we were inspired to create our post BEACH EDITION: Quick Tips for Your Extensions!
In our opinion, nothing is more annoying than having a ball at the beach, then coming home to sand-filled hair. To help prevent this frustrating experience, we found that there are a few ways of keeping your hair chic after enjoying the fun summer pastime.
Take out your semi-permanent or clip-ins out. To save yourself from embarrassment and money, we suggest you leave them in your tote bag. They will come in handy later.
Bring a scarf. No we are not talking about your do-rag. We are talking about a beautiful silk scarf that is suitable for the outdoors. If you have no plans of getting into the water, simply wrap your hair into a “doobie”, tie your scarf in a sophisticated manner, and get ready to soak up the sun without worries of bad hair!
Wear a swimming cap. If you are one that loves to hit the beach and get involved with the water, we think that a swimming cap is your best option because it helps prevent the salty water from drying out your hair. Place a wig cap underneath your swimming cap to make it simpler to wear.
Wear your hair in two braids. Will you be lounging on the beach with the possibility of being splashed? We suggest you completely comb your hair and give yourself two braids as tight as possible to help keep your hair from getting matted and unruly. This will make it easier for you to wash your hair after your beach trip. Buns are also a great alternative.
Wear a sunhat. This is the easiest way to protect your hair from sun damage and splashing waters.
NOTE: Whatever you do, never comb the hair while wet to prevent split ends. We also find it necessary to tell you to never let you hair air-dry, always wash and condition to keep hair from getting matted and damaged.
